Work on multiple quick-turnaround briefs at any time. As an example, brands worked on in one recent month alone included Google, L’Oréal, Kellogg’s, Pampers, Fairy, Always, Danone, Nivea, Autotrader and Hilton.

Created a messaging and positioning framework for NIUM’s rebrand. Developed brand guidelines and tone of voice, and rolled out across the business.

Led a team of creative writers, devising and developing creative concepts for DC’s leading brands, Carphone Warehouse and Currys PC World – and sister brands iD Mobile, Team Knowhow and Dixons Travel.

Worked on briefs from various stakeholders/clients across the business.

Worked on CRM for all brands, writing emails for our millions-strong customer database. Also wrote
editorial copy (including articles for TechTalk and Lowdown blogs and in-store leaflets) and in-store POS.
Also wrote copy for social channels, as well as OOH, print and radio advertising. -
Worked closely with design team and brand team to ensure everything created was in line with our five
brands’ tone of voice.

Wrote and produced a range of on-air content, including sponsored promos, programme trails and ad-filler
content. Also wrote presenter live reads.

My previous life in radio
2005-13
Before I started copywriting full time, I spent eight years in radio, as a presenter, producer and programme manager. On major stations across the South, I presented shows at breakfast, drive and elsewhere across the schedule. I led programming teams, pitched promos to clients, and wrote programme trails and ads. The highlight? Getting to present a week of shows from Jamaica, and another week of shows from Bermuda.

I am the voice of matchdays at Fratton Park; this includes welcoming teams onto the pitch, announcing lineups, goals and subs, introducing video content and conducting live in-vision interviews.
